What are the latest advancements in high energy physics and accelerators?

I am a civil engineer who worked for US dept of Energy in high energy physics and accelerators. I was involved in basic practical engineering but am a big physics fan...my favorite physicists are Richard Feynman and Alvin Radkowsky.Shalom
