Welcome to the PF, John, it's a great place.

What's the most fun thing you've built in your garage so far?

An A-10a flight simulator for DCS is easily the most fun thing I’ve built. I also built a 2DOF motion platform but got hooked on VR flying before I completed it so it remains unfinished. I’m exploring solar power right now so I built an articulated pole mount and installed an 8 panel array on it. Currently in the process of motorizing it for sun tracking. It keeps a 1000ah battery bank floated but I would like it to be able to charge it more quickly without having to fire up my homemade 12v/185a generator. Overall I think I enjoy the learning process more than the building of all my stuff.
Nice to meet you. Thanks for saying hi.
