What inspired a career switch to computer science and physics?

I'm a career switcher. A year+ ago I decided I wanted to pursue computer science. I am now in Bachelor of Applied Science, Information Technology program which I should complete at the end of the coming summer. Along the way math caught my interest and I am now considering physics as well, which is what brought me here.
I have already learned quite a bit just browsing through the posts. Thank you!
