Does 0.25 J or 0.0082 J seem like a reasonable loss of energy in terms of a 83 g ball rolling down a ramp?

Sure. But it would be better to have some vague idea what you're talking about. I.e. what is the friction? size of the ramp? ramp angle? air conditions?
