What is Astronomy Addiction and How Does it Affect Armchair Observers?

Greetings,
My name is James and I'm an Astronomy addict.
Unfortunately, I'm not a mathematician or physics guy... just an armchair observer who failed the 12-step program for my addiction.
I hope I don't make myself look like TOO much of an idiot. :)
