What is magnetic energy and are there magnetons?

is seems to be generally agreed upon that any "magnet" comes into being because it has been infused by an Electric Current.

so, my question:

so this magnetic energy is imparted to the material by the electric current.

so, then, what is "magnetic energy" ? are there "Magnetons"?

well, i found some references to "magnetons". but none of the "magnetons" in the Physics lexicon
have anything to do with real "Magnetons", which would be the theoretical carriers of Magnetic Energy.

is the speed of the Magnetic Field still 186,000 miles per second, or is it instantaneous?

Theoretical carriers of magnetic energy... that would be photons.

The speed of propagation of changes in the magnetic field is the speed of light, ~186000 mi/s. That's because it is light. Any changing magnetic field also has an electric field component, and this propagation is an electromagnetic wave, or light.
