What is Multitouch Device Creation in Electrical Engineering?

Hi all,

I'm new to the field of Electrical Engineering. I am however very interested and have taken to the hobby of creating multitouch devices.

I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Edinburgh working on energy storage.
