What is the best way to engage in science without a formal education?

How did you find PF?: I don't remember exactly. In perusing my bookmarks you bubbled to the top under my generic SCIENCE bookmark. Glad I've rediscovered you.

I don't have a scholastic background in science, just a real interest in anything scientific.
