AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on creating a physics coursework report focused on car collisions, specifically a scenario involving a pickup truck colliding with a stationary car. Key areas of interest include mechanics, energy transfer, and material properties related to vehicle collisions. Participants suggest exploring concepts such as momentum, kinetic energy, and the deformation of materials during impacts. The need for a comprehensive understanding of various physics principles applicable to car accidents is emphasized. Overall, the coursework aims to integrate multiple physics concepts to analyze the dynamics of car collisions effectively.

Car Collsions Coursework! Help!

I've got to do a research report for my physics A level into the physics behind car collsions. I have to cover a range of areas in physics! I've done a bit with mechanics but I need some help with the other areas.

Can anyone give me some suggestions or links to what might be good to include?

Thanks

Hmm, can you be a bit more specific. When you say "car collisions" what aspect?

Yeah sorry! Just any aspect of physics that is associated with a car accident. I chose the situation of a pickup truck colliding with a stationary car. I need to have things retaled to energy, materials, etc.

Thanks!

Thread 'Help with Time-Independent Perturbation Theory "Good" States Proof'
(Disclaimer: this is not a HW question. I am self-studying, and this felt like the type of question I've seen in this forum. If there is somewhere better for me to share this doubt, please let me know and I'll transfer it right away.) I am currently reviewing Chapter 7 of Introduction to QM by Griffiths. I have been stuck for an hour or so trying to understand the last paragraph of this proof (pls check the attached file). It claims that we can express Ψ_{γ}(0) as a linear combination of...
