Hello my name is Joshua. My desire for learning physics stems from when i heard my friends sound system in his car, ported 15" that hit frequencies in the high 20s. I will never forget that awesome feeling of 27hz ripping through my body. Since then I have learned 12 volt theory and wiring, fluid dynamics relating to sub-woofers and enclosures, thermodynamics, signal generation and many other things. I have done industrial electrical in the oil patch, worked for a water transfer company in the oil-field using 600hp turbo diesel water pumps for pipelines, and now I'm experimenting with a 15k volt neon transformer and soon building a Tesla coil. I can't wait to get involved with this forum and start learning!

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
