I just joined. I'm a student at MTSU, majoring in physics (my concentration is in the astrophysics track). I also really enjoy languages. I speak English, Italian, French, and Chinese. I actually started out studying international relations (to be a diplomat), but later fell in love with higher math and coupled that with the love of science that I always had. Once I realized the math wasn't scary, I changed my major to what it is now and have been happy with it. It's nice to meet you all and great to find a physics community to be a part of!

Hi Taricus. :welcome:

Hello everyone, I was advised to join this community while seeking guidance on how to navigate the academic world as an independent researcher. My name is Omar, and I'm based in Groningen The Netherlands. My formal physics education ended after high school, but I have dedicated the last several years to developing a theoretical framework from first principles. My work focuses on a topological field theory (which I call Swirl-String Theory) that models particles as knotted vortex...
