AI Thread Summary
The discussion revolves around a series of trivia questions related to countries and their unique characteristics. Participants are attempting to identify countries based on specific clues. For the first question, Bhutan is suggested as a possible answer due to its high unclimbed peak and cultural practices. The second question leads to guesses like the Vatican and Greenland, with a focus on countries with minimal native plant life. The third question prompts debate about Thailand's historical occupation status during WWII. The fourth question sees the U.S. mentioned as having a high incarceration rate. Finally, for the fifth question, Algiers (Algeria) and Djibouti are identified as capital cities with names matching their countries, with Tunis also considered as a valid answer. The discussion includes playful banter and corrections among participants as they refine their answers.

If no one can guess them all, each correct answer is worth 20 points, so highest scorer wins. In the case of a tie, the member that sends me the most dark chocolate wins.

Going with the obvious guess for #2) Greenland

For #5) a third acceptable answer might be Tunis?

Gokul, yes #5 was the other answer.

For #2, think about a country that has imported most of their plant life.

1. Bhutan
2. Iceland. I know it's an island! If not, maybe great britain?
3.
4. US (Common Knowledge)
5. Tunis (Tunisia) & Algiers (Algeria)

final answer.

Thailand was invaded by Japan in ww2. It was after some brief fighting that Thailand decided to allow japan passage and joined them in a military alliance. Basically a vassal state as far as I can see it. Even tried to declare war on the US, but then internal fighting started and it never got delivered.

2.Antartica. Not a country, but relatively very little native plant life.
3. IIRC not all of China was occupied by Japan (mostly the costal areas). Large parts were still under Chineese control.
