Discussion Overview

The discussion centers around finding an affordable PZT (lead zirconate titanate) plate suitable for piezoelectric applications, specifically one with a resonance frequency of 50 Hz as referenced in a provided article. Participants are exploring options for purchasing such a plate and discussing the specifications that may be relevant.

Discussion Character

  • Exploratory, Homework-related

Main Points Raised

  • One participant expresses difficulty in locating a PZT plate with a specific resonance frequency of 50 Hz and seeks assistance in finding a suitable product.
  • Another participant reiterates the need for a similar or better PZT plate and indicates that slight variations in resonance frequency are acceptable.
  • A third participant mentions a lack of understanding regarding technical specifications like dielectric constants, emphasizing their need for guidance.
  • A later reply suggests a potential source for PZT plates by referencing a specific product from a website, indicating it may meet the requirements.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants generally agree on the need for a PZT plate with specific characteristics, but there is no consensus on where to find such a product or on the technical specifications required.

Contextual Notes

Participants express uncertainty regarding the technical details of PZT plates, such as resonance frequency and dielectric constants, which may affect their ability to find suitable options.

Who May Find This Useful

Individuals interested in piezoelectric materials, particularly those new to the field or seeking affordable components for experimental applications.

hi me again sorry for bad english but I am loooking for a pzt plate as shown in
https://institutes.lanl.gov/ei/pdf_files/JIMSS2005.pdf
i seen sights like americanpiezo but i can't find the same 50 hz resonance one
can someone help me find one?
is their a better one than the one in the article
where can i find the hz for pzt plates?
thanks again

Okay, so I had an English friend translate for me since I was not getting any responses.
Basically,
I want the same piezoelectric plate found here: https://institutes.lanl.gov/ei/pdf_files/JIMSS2005.pdf.
The PZT has a resonance frequency of 50 Hz in said article.
If possible, I'd like similar or better ones (the resonance frequency can be a bit off, as long as it is similar).
I have tried googling it but have found no luck regarding resonance frequency.
Can somebody help me find something I can buy?

Anything? (Remember, I'm new to this so finding something as close as possible to the one used would be nice, I don't understand things like dielectric constants)
