Why Should I Pursue Science as a Hobby at 67 Years Old?

I've always enjoyed mathematics and physics. But I have never been good in either discipline. My highest grade achieved in mathematics was a B-. And I have never taken an organized course in Physics. So why am I here?
An NASA web page article stimulated me to come here and I want to expand my aging 67 year old brain.
