Hello,

I am an Electrical Engineering Technologist student and we have a design project that i am trying to understand. We are feeding apartment units with 82A of 120V and 68A of 208V. I am going to feed each with two phase lines and a neutral. What I am not sure about is if the 68A of 208V will be on both phases or not. Any clarification would be great!

Well - simplify your thinking

if all that 208 load were a single 68 amp device, say a commercial water heater,
at any instant would all 68 amps flow in one phase and out the other?

and you already knew the answer to that.
