Can solve the eq. (2) directly? I have tried, but failed.

It's difficult to read scanned images like this. Next time, please just make the effort to type out the relavant information yourself.

Anyways, are you referring to the equation, [tex]\mathcal{E}^2(1-V^2\cos^2\theta)-2\mathcal{E}\mathcal{E}_0\sqrt{1-V^2}+\mathcal{E}_0^2(1-V^2)+V^2m^2\cos^2\theta=0[/itex] ?

If so, just use the quadratic formula and post your work if you get stuck.

1. What is Relativistic Mechanics?

Relativistic Mechanics is a branch of physics that deals with the motion of objects at speeds close to the speed of light. It combines principles from both classical mechanics and special relativity to accurately describe the behavior of objects in motion at high speeds.

2. Why is Relativistic Mechanics important?

Relativistic Mechanics is important because it provides a more accurate and comprehensive understanding of the behavior of objects at high speeds. It is crucial in fields such as astrophysics, particle physics, and engineering, where objects often travel at relativistic speeds.

3. What are some key principles of Relativistic Mechanics?

Some key principles of Relativistic Mechanics include the constancy of the speed of light, the relativity of simultaneity, time dilation, length contraction, and the equivalence of mass and energy (E=mc^2).

4. How is Relativistic Mechanics different from Classical Mechanics?

Relativistic Mechanics differs from Classical Mechanics in that it takes into account the effects of high speeds and the principles of special relativity. It also introduces new concepts such as time dilation and length contraction, which do not exist in Classical Mechanics.

5. What are some real-world applications of Relativistic Mechanics?

Some real-world applications of Relativistic Mechanics include GPS systems, particle accelerators, and space travel. Relativistic effects must be taken into account for accurate measurements and predictions in these technologies.
