Can Excel plot graph? If not, is there any free software to plot tables of numbers from Excel to XY graph.( just common graph)?
Antiphon said:Yes it can. What version of Excel are you using?
russ_watters said:Every version of excel works pretty much the same for basic functions.
The problem you are having is that you selected a "line chart". Change the chart type to "x-y scatter" and you'll be able to scale it by right clicking the axis and clicking "axis properties".
Looks like you'll also need to define the x-axis for each series, though.
You skipped step 1: change the chart type to x-y scatter.yungman said:Thanks for the reply. I tried, the x-axis is labelled 0 to 12. If I change to 0 to 800, the chart shrink horizontally. The excel assigned 1 to 12 for me, but I need to assign the points according to the number on top of Fig.2 in teal color.
I need to label x-axis from 0 to 800 and plot the points at x= 43.75, 65.625, 87.5, 175 etc. This is the row that is teal color in Fig.2.
Thanks
Alan
Is there any way to do it? Attached is the updated exel file that I change to xy chart already.
The purpose of using XY graph software is to visualize and analyze data in a graphical format. This allows for easier interpretation and identification of patterns or trends within the data.
Yes, most XY graph software programs are designed to be user-friendly and require little to no coding knowledge. They often have a user-friendly interface and provide step-by-step instructions for creating graphs and tables.
Yes, most XY graph software programs allow for data to be imported from Excel. This can be done by copying and pasting the data or through a data import function.
The appropriate graph type depends on the type of data you have and the purpose of your analysis. Some common types of graphs include line graphs, bar graphs, and scatter plots. It is important to consider the variables and relationships in your data when choosing a graph type.
Yes, most XY graph software programs allow for customization of the appearance of graphs and tables. This includes changing the colors, labels, and fonts to make the visualizations more visually appealing and informative.
