which is the better series one can learn physics from? I've personally read feynman's but I haven't tried halliday's.
Halliday physics and Feynman lectures are both popular resources used for learning physics. However, they have some key differences. Halliday physics is a textbook written by David Halliday, Robert Resnick, and Jearl Walker, while Feynman lectures are a series of lectures given by renowned physicist Richard Feynman. Feynman lectures are known for their more conceptual approach, while Halliday physics provides a more traditional textbook-style presentation of physics concepts.
This is a subjective question and ultimately depends on the individual's learning style and preferences. Some may find Feynman lectures to be more engaging and intuitive, while others may prefer the structured approach of Halliday physics. It is recommended to explore both resources and see which one resonates better with you.
Both resources cover a wide range of topics in physics, including mechanics, electricity and magnetism, and thermodynamics. However, the order and level of detail in which these topics are presented may vary. Additionally, Feynman lectures may include more advanced topics, such as quantum mechanics, that may not be covered in Halliday physics.
Yes, many students and educators use both resources together for a more comprehensive understanding of physics. Halliday physics can provide a solid foundation of concepts, while Feynman lectures can offer a more conceptual and intuitive understanding of the material. It is recommended to use them in conjunction with each other for a well-rounded learning experience.
Both resources can be used by beginners, but Halliday physics may be more suitable for those with little to no prior knowledge of physics. It provides a more structured and detailed approach to learning, while Feynman lectures may require some prior understanding of basic physics concepts. However, both can be beneficial for beginners and it ultimately depends on the individual's learning style.
