Do extra dimensions lead to expansion of our universe?

In summary, extra dimensions are theoretical dimensions beyond the three dimensions of space and time. The exact number of extra dimensions is unknown and is a subject of ongoing research. While there is no direct evidence for their existence, many physicists believe in the possibility of extra dimensions based on mathematical models and theories. These dimensions could potentially explain concepts such as gravity, dark matter, and the behavior of particles at the quantum level, as well as offer a unified explanation for the four fundamental forces of nature. However, there is currently no known way to directly observe or access extra dimensions, and scientists are still conducting experiments and observations to search for evidence of their existence.

It's clearly visible in the link that it's published, in Phys.Rev. D68 (2003) 026006.
