Electronic Devices -- Please suggest a book for learning the basics

In summary, there are many good books available for learning the basics of electronic devices, such as "Electronic Devices and Circuit Theory" by Robert L. Boylestad and Louis Nashelsky, "Practical Electronics for Inventors" by Paul Scherz and Simon Monk, and "Make: Electronics: Learning Through Discovery" by Charles Platt. Prior knowledge or experience is not necessary, but having a basic understanding of math, physics, and circuits can be helpful. While online resources are available, books offer a more comprehensive and organized approach to learning. Once you have a basic understanding, you can apply your knowledge in various ways, such as building circuits, troubleshooting, or pursuing a career in electronics. Several books cover both analog and digital electronic devices

You can't go wrong with "The Art of Electronics."

But if you're planning more of a career in the field (making them, not using them), some quantum physics is in order.
