How much heat does a turbine need?

see basically i feel the best way of getting a solution is that you should at least decide a cycle. then by applying even the basic laws you can get the required equation. otherwise the equation posted above may also help you if you know the range of overall efficiency which cannot exceed...

How much heat does a turbine need?

the overall efficiency of a thermal turbine is directly proportional to the difference in inlet & outlet temperatures of the working fluid. the more the heat gained by the water through convection from zeolite cell, the more are the chances of increase in the efficiency of the system, provided...

How much heat does a turbine need?

good job. thats what he needed. but does he know the pressures and condition of steam at inlet?

What do you guys think of my final project idea?

that pressure of 2000 psi with 2 gallons of air is a good range for operation. you did not mention that before. but i doubt it will give more than 2 miles for every 150 pounds of gross weight. because the size of the motor as well as the tank itself is quite large for higher power requirements.

How much heat does a turbine need?

i don't think there is something called HEAT STORAGE DEVICE. heat cannot be stored. it is a transitional energy not an absolute form. it always has a tendency to flow. to store it, you need to supply heat continuously. i think you mean a heat generator(boiler). try getting specifications of the...

    Problem regarding Dihedral of wigs

hi. i have a doubt. Which configuration is more advantageous to the wings in terms of lift generated and stability? 1. a wing with a full span dihedral from fuselage to the tip 2. A wing with a partial span range dihedral from tips to somewhere in the wings and then straight till fuselage 3. a...

Maintaining Constant Angular Velocity for Electricity Generation

no but don't forget that wind farms DO NOT produce a constant voltage output. the gear box inside is mechanical with a very high transmission ratio i.e. small movement of blade results in significant rpm of the generator. and it is a variable generator and that is the only reason wind turbines...

What do you guys think of my final project idea?

hello guys. the project he is trying to do was tried by me sometime back. there are a lot of problems with such PURE vehicles as the economy obtained is very very low. for example, you may get only 0.75 miles out of 1-2 gallons 15psi air. that's wat i got. the weight of the vehicle increases if...

Maintaining Constant Angular Velocity for Electricity Generation

see the system you are talking to BUILD/DESIGN will need a brain to analyze that the input speed is reducing/increasing and send the data to the output speed controller to keep the output speed constant. this is very difficult (if not impossible) as you will need an electronically controlled...

How can fuel injector location and material selection reduce engine problems?

i feel the location of the injector along with the material of injector is quite well responsible for accumulation of dirt on the injector.

Building a Robot - Need Advices

your problem points the robot is manually operated. the explanation for diiferential by DaveC426913 is copletely justified. for shock absorbing, i would say that for a 15 pounds load and a less that 200 m track, the rubber of the wheels itself is enough to sustain the load. still if you feel...
