Block on an incline connected to a mass cord pulley 26˚. acceleration?

i really don't even know how to start, our teacher said he might show us on wednesday. he sent this email out to help us because so many people were emailing him questions. "replace the mass 2 force with a tension in the connecting rope of 20.7N. This would be the force applied to mass 1...

Block on an incline connected to a mass cord pulley 26˚. acceleration?

Homework Statement block 1 lying on an inclined plane is connected to block 2 by a cord passing over a pulley. the coefficient of kinetic friction between block 1 and the plane is .21 and block 1 and 2 are 2.6 kg. As block 2 moves down, determine the magnitude of the acceleration of block 1...

    Projectiles launched at an angle

I solved the right side and got 13.8, which i took the square root of (since the left side was squared) and got 3.7. Then I divided that by 95 and got 25.6. So now v(cos38)=25.6? If it does then I could just say 25.6/cos38=v, so 25.6/.79=32.4? I might've rounded too much so it might not be...

    Projectiles launched at an angle

    Ok so [95/v(cos38)]^2=[6.5-(tan38)(95)]/-4.9? because sinX/cosX=tanX

    Projectiles launched at an angle

Ok but I don't understand how to get v by itself, with the cos38 and sin38 there. And in the equation you wrote is "t" supposed to be in there at all?

    Projectiles launched at an angle

Homework Statement A baseball is hit over a 7.5-m-high fence 95 m from the home plate. What was the minimum speed of the ball when it left the bat? Assume the ball was hit 1 m above the ground and its path initially made a 38 degree angle with the ground. Homework Equations...

Projectiles launched at an angle not sure if i posted this already?

Oh ok, so I don't even have to solve for that. So the answer is really the initial velocity in the x direction? 1.85 m/s?
