LT Spice response of 6-resonator filter

That's okay, I think I'll just leave it now. My friend and I made the circuit for an assignment, designing a BPF, with simulated component values...I'll see what he has come up with.

LT Spice response of 6-resonator filter

Thanks for your input Baluncore. Do you have any further suggestions on how I could get the time delay I'm expecting between the different resonators? I've altered the circuit a bit here and there, including the series resistors you mentioned, but it only changes the response...no delay. I think...

LT Spice response of 6-resonator filter

Thanks for the suggestions. meBigGuy: yes I do have a source impedance. Baluncore: if I make those changes, would they solve my time delay issue? I'll try them later.

LT Spice response of 6-resonator filter

Thanks. I've included the .asc file in my original post.

LT Spice response of 6-resonator filter

The following circuit is giving me the following response at each resonator, however it's not the correct response. There's supposed to be a time delay for each resonator response, however they're all more or less starting around 0 seconds...when I'm expecting a proper time delay between each...

    LPF gives 2 different simulations

I've designed a 3rd order BPF. I tuned it in AWR Design Environment (Microwave Office), and got the response I wanted: However using the same component values with LT Spice gives me a different response: The other thing I've noted in the plot is the input voltage. I'm not that familiar with...

    Bandpass filter design - wideband

I've managed to alter it closer towards what I want. I want a more flat passband, though I'm still getting these ripples even though my frequency transformations didn't account for them (I'm using the freq transformation technique to get the BPF). And if possible to get it to resemble more of an...

    Bandpass filter design - wideband

There is the possibility of building it, though it's not confirmed. As of now I removed the second resonator, so it's a 3rd order filter instead of the 4th order I begun with. It has helped, but my passband isn't as flat as I'd like.

    Bandpass filter design - wideband

I'm trying to design a bandpass filter with a BW of 50MHz in LTSpice, however my simulations aren't coming out as I'd like. I'm using the frequency transformation method, with a centre frequency of 2GHz., fractional BW 2.5%. I'd like a wider passband, however I can't seem to get away from the...

    Which Internship Should I Choose?

That's a good point. Thanks for your response Dr Courtney.

    Which Internship Should I Choose?

I've been offered 2 internships, and I'm unsure which to go with since they both offer advantages. For the record I want to develop my career in the RF/telecomms field, with a focus on design. Also, I want to move to the US in the near future for work, so I'm trying to base my decision on which...

How to increase BW of microstrip antenna?

Thanks for the response Jake. I'm going to try and design my own PCB antenna.

How to increase BW of microstrip antenna?

Thanks for the detailed response Jake. So going by your post, the Reflection response they have on page 11 isn't the same as my response from CST: http://i62.tinypic.com/42k36.jpg <-- so that is totally unrelated to BW?

How to increase BW of microstrip antenna?

Actually I was going to ask about that but forgot! So the 280 MHz BW means that it will work for the range of 2.2-2.65 GHz? What I don't understand is why my CST simulation (and the data sheet response) shows it passing through ~2.4 GHz more so? Then the loss decreases progressively on either...

How to increase BW of microstrip antenna?

I'm using the DN007 antenna: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/swra351a/swra351a.pdf and I've managed to get the same loss/response in CST as what they have in their data sheet, however I'm wondering how I can increase the BW? It passes through ~2.4GHz, but I'd like to increase that to include about...
