Are there exceptions to adding h parameters in feedback problems of amplifiers?
Homework Statement In feedback problems of amplifiers we often use H feedback in the voltage controlled voltage sources... The good thing about that is that they are connected in series parallel form and they are then to find the net h parameters we simply add the h parameters of the...- dhruv.tara

Understanding Sensitivity in Negative Feedback: Definition and Explanation
Homework Statement In study of negative feedback and stuff we define sensitivity as ration of the change in the fraction of gain with feedback to the fraction of gain without feedback. We get S = 1/(1+GH) I was interested in knowing why did we choose to define it this way... Why not...- dhruv.tara

How does a single phase induction motor work with a non-constant power supply?
My course text mentions that 3 phase induction motor runs on constant electric power. It proofs it in sense that the power delivered to the motor in a 3 phase balanced system is constant..- dhruv.tara

Does Entropy Mean Less Information or More Complexity?
Homework Statement I haven't studied thermodynamics and we have just a very brief use of thermo in my power plants course. I have read that entropy always increases, universe tends to disorderly state from an orderly state. The teacher related this to probability that nature tends to go...- dhruv.tara

How does a single phase induction motor work with a non-constant power supply?
NOTE: This is not a homework problem. This semester we dealt with AC motors both three phase and single phase. Now I know that 3 phase system is associated with constant power and therefore a constant power is being fed into that motor (and hence converted into constant mechanical power)...- dhruv.tara

Explore Interactive Art with Servomotors & Wood
Maybe... Can you tell me more about the accelerometer thing? My friends had made a LFR (line follower) the previous semester in our college fest... I was busy in other stuff so didn't take much part in it... I just had an overview of what they were doing... Actually graphics interest me a lot...- dhruv.tara

Explore Interactive Art with Servomotors & Wood
Well I haven't really established anything practical yet (never did an experiment outside the scope of the lab manual) and seeing it for the first time I thought it would be fun. The cost thing bugged me and now I think kind of prevents me to try it... But actually this summers I shall be...- dhruv.tara

So what do you guys think can be the total budget of the project? I guess the motors are the significant cost factor or could there be anything else that weighs more than the cost of these motors?- dhruv.tara

I don't know about microcontrollers yet... Will be introduced to them formally in upcoming semester... But I was wondering if we could there control a row of pixels via just one motor... maybe have some controlled gear train mechanism system then... If we discretized the rotational values of...- dhruv.tara

What Defines the Open Loop Transfer Function in Control Systems?
okk... :) thanks a lot.. I get most of it now... :D One more thing that bugged me is that in control why do we take impulse, step and ramp as basic signals? I thought that we shall rather be interested in sin function response for a particular frequency and then a complete bode plot or...- dhruv.tara

Self-study Theory of Computation
I think that would be nice... there are more online lectures... check youtube for nptel and its course on discrete maths. and then you can see the course on numerical methods (if you are interested) on the same channel and finally you can get into the course on mit channel that deals directly...- dhruv.tara
