If I'm not mistaken, the Scandinavian countries all have Grad programs that don't cost any tuition... However, the cost of living in those countries is through the roof, but I'm not sure how well those things balance each other out.
Oh, I misunderstood then.
Keep in mind, this thread was first posted about a month and a half ago, and I have revived it a couple of separate times thinking from different angles. A month and a half may not seem like a very long time, but I've thought about it enough to have my mind changed...
I've been playing around with my planned schedule a little bit for a while now trying to figure out the best way to prepare myself for a University. As I was trying to cram a bunch of general studies classes in, I wondered if there was really a point, since the Uni. I want to transfer to does...
Stephan Hawking has got to be the most awesome person who has ever lived. I mean, he has that crippling condition, yet he overcomes his physical abnormalities with astonishing brainpower that I'm sure any intellectually interested person would envy. Plus, on top of it all, he has a wonderful...
I just want to know all of my options. I think it's good to know about what all of my viable options are, so that as things happen in the next couple of years I will be able to tailor my path to whatever works best, and if a Nuclear Physics or Engineering degree can get me to where I want to go...
But, will a heavy background in Nuclear Physics be useful for studying Particle Physics? I mean, I've seen a ton of graduate programs that seem as if Nuclear and Particle Physics are part of a combined program. If I had, say, an MS in Nuclear Engineering or something, would it prepare me for a...
Yeah, doing the same amount of material in a shorter amount of time is definitely going to make it more difficult. I don't know what about it would be easier...
To the OP, if the class is still going on, you still have a chance to pass. Don't give up or get discouraged because you're going...
I understand how you feel. What I've found works for me, is that I practice equations over and over until I know them cold. Once I do, I usually feel pretty confident about it (tests are a slightly different story, but that's an entirely different situation than studying). When you need to do a...
Another question (sorry, everyone): if one were eventually seeking employment in Europe, would it be better to go to Grad School in Europe as well, or would it be just as viable to stay in America? I'm thinking from an experimental research standpoint.
I think that I saw a thread with a similar question not too long ago, but I couldn't find it, so sorry if this is too much of a repeat thread.
Anyways, I'm trying to weigh out all of my options for getting an education. One such possible idea I may have uncovered is doing Engineering Physics...
See, the thing is, I feel like I definitely studied for long enough. I mean, I pretty much got as much out of it as I felt I could. As for anxiety, I don't think that is really the problem. I do certainly get nervous before I take the test, but generally once I sit down and start it, I feel...
Really? Hm, so I guess my class wasn't so unusual after all. 10-20% still seems awfully small to me, but oh well. I guess I will just have to learn some better ways to figure out how to perform better.
