Solve Velocity Problems: Homework Statement & Equations

I do but my teacher wants me to do it in equations, like how I wrote in the attempt at solution, v1 = ... , t = ... and etc. When I do this I get confused of what to multiply by and etc. Also with directions, like E, N and etc, do these change the problems drastically or very little? How too.

Solve Velocity Problems: Homework Statement & Equations

Homework Statement An auto travels at the rate of 25 km/hr North for 4 hours, then at 50 km/hr North for 8 hours, and finally 20 km/hr North for 2 hours. Find (a) the total distance covered in km and (b) the average velocity for the complete trip in m/s. Homework Equations d=vt The...

Calculate the average speed from a bar graph

Very sorry about that. The first picture on the left the numbers represent distance(cm) and the second picture represent the speed (cm/s). With the first picture too, the 2 strips that are the same length are the second and third from the left on the second picture. Right now this is velocity...

Calculate the average speed from a bar graph

Well I need to calculate the average speed from a bar graph and I do believe it said percent difference, then find the percent difference from the bar graph to my line graph. All I have is pictures of the bar graph, so can someone please tell me how to find the average speed and the percent...

    How do you calculate 1/Frequency?

Alright thanks a lot. The only problem I had was graphing because I accidently put the changing value as the y and not the x. Now what should this become as a line when its graphed? Straight, Linear, or Squared?

    How do you calculate 1/Frequency?

Alright so also if I am graphing, would I use .5(1/2), .33(1/3), .25(1/4) or what?

Alright thanks a lot for your help. Definitely.

    How do you calculate 1/Frequency?

Alright that's kind of what I thought in the beginning. So mostly it would just be, 1/2 1/3 1/4 and NOT 1/1/2 1/1/3 1/1/4 Correct?

    How do you calculate 1/Frequency?

I'm asked to plot Wavelength v. 1/Frequency. But I have no clue on how to get the 1/Frequency Column. Right now my table looks like this. Frequency-----Wavelength---------1/Frequency (Hz)--------------(cm)---------------( ) 1------------------60 2------------------30...

    How do you calculate 1/Frequency?

I understand that 1/s = s, I mean my teacher gave me a gigantic formula going, Hz=1/s=1/1/s=1/s/s=s/s/s=s/s=s... But I still don't know what the heck I am doing. :( Sorry. Also I just found out this morning that Distance is Wavelength(cm). I still don't know how to find it though.

    How do you calculate 1/Frequency?

Alright, I have Physics homework where I have to graph Frequency vs Distance(I think it was distance). Well there are 3 columns, Frequency, Distance(As I said I think) than 1/Frequency. How in the world do you figure out 1/Frequency? I know that Frequency is Hz, and Hz = 1/s. So I would suppose...
