Find distance proton moves between adjacent turns of helix
so I have Δy=vsin∅t + at^2 Δy= 2∏r but vsin∅final = vsin∅initial + at F = ma qvsin∅B = ma a = qvsin∅B/m a = (25*10^-6T)(4300sin76m/s)(1.602*10^-19C)/ (1.67*10^-27kg) = 1.0006*10^7 t = vsin∅final/a = 4172.27/1.0006*10^7 = .000417s xfinal = vinitial*t = 4300m/s*.000417s =1.793m but it's...- jburt

Find distance proton moves between adjacent turns of helix
Homework Statement A proton moves with a speed of 4300 m/s in a direction 76.0° above positive x axis. It enters a region where a magnetic filed of 25x10^-6 Tesla exists in the positive x direction. Find the radius of the helix formed by the protons path and the distance between adjacent...- jburt

Why do biologists talk about appearence of design ?
I can't stop, lol, but I mentioned entropy constantly being the propensity to disassemble, basically, but also constantly trying to counter that with organization is what creates the "flow" of energy between matter. . . or else, everything would be stagnant. . . everything was "designed for a...- jburt

Why do biologists talk about appearence of design ?
My opinion is with the perspective that I just don't think Dawkin's meant "designed" by a being or supernatural force/God to try to appeal to certain ppl, I take/took it as his reference to the relationship and behavior of the material that has formed the universe/all things. I think it's a...- jburt

Why do biologists talk about appearence of design ?
I'm definitely no expert, but your analogy between natures "construction" of objects and human's construction of objects maybe should take into account the "structure complements function" concept, and that although nature has composed a number of uniquely functioning objects, far more than...- jburt

Newton's 2nd Law on light fixture
Thanks, So, on my free body diagram on the 1st knot from the left, say I label the mg T, as T1, then T2 (upper left) and T3 (upper right), then for the middle knot, the same T1 from the mg (since equal mass=equal weight), but the tensions on either sides are BOTH T3 (equal, but opposite...- jburt

Newton's 2nd Law on light fixture
I also want to say, I've attempted to use only the equations for the sum of y forces on the knots, since I've ruled the masses out as irrelevant, so those free body diagrams are also irrelevant. I subbed the value of T from the middle knot sumFy equation into the T for the 1st knot's sumFy...- jburt

Newton's 2nd Law on light fixture
Homework Statement A lightweight string of length 60.0 cm is attached to the ceiling at points separated by distance D, as shown on the diagram in my attachment. Three objects of equal mass are hung from the string, separating the string into four equal segments of lenth L. If θ=40° , find...- jburt
