    Vectors - Groundspeed question

Oh! I'm sorry, I just realized my mistake (substituted the wrong value) :) Anyways, my new θ turns out to be: 98^2 = 525^2 + 558.4^2 - 2(525)(558.4)cosθ -577831.5 = -586320cosθ cosθ = 0.9855 θ = 9.8° Hopefully my method is correct? Thank you for all your help, I really appreciate...

    Vectors - Groundspeed question

Thank you for the reply. Okay, so using 60° + 45°, I calculated my new resultant vector as 558.4 km/hr. The only issue is when I solve for theta, cosθ = 1.138, which cannot be solved for. Is there something I'm missing?

How to determine resonance of an open or closed pipe?

Homework Statement A pipe resonates at successive frequencies of 540 Hz, 450 Hz, and 350Hz. Is this an open or a closed pipe? Homework Equations L = (nλ)/2 or L = ((2n-1)/4)λ v = fλThe Attempt at a Solution The difference between the first two frequencies (540 & 450) is 90Hz, and the...
