Graduate The universe's size : always infinite?
For us the universe is infinite. Albert Einstein said that nothing can exceed the speed of light (186,000 miles per second). However, this law does not apply to the expansion of our universe. This law only applies when an object is moving from one place to another withing our universe. However... -

Undergrad Are blackholes formed in other ways besides supernovas?
In science books I always have read that supper massive black holes explode in a supernova once they run out of fuel. After that the core of the star collapses and forms a black hole. But are there other ways in which black holes are formed in nature, besides the the core of a big star...- mdmaaz

Graduate The boundaries between individual universes
Many scientists believe that there are many universes. The M-Theory states that there are 10500universes. If that is true. What is the "boundary" between them. In other words, the place where one universe ends and another universe starts, what is that like. I know this the most stupid question... -

Graduate Does the speed of light change if?
Every speed is measured relative to something else. For example, if you walk across the aisle in a moving bus. You will think you're walking at 3 miles per hour. Someone on the ground will think you're walking at 53 miles per hour (since the bus is moving), an astronaut on the moon will see you...- mdmaaz

Undergrad Can We Go "Outside the Universe"?
That's an interesting question. I believe that we can leave our universe. But if we leave our universe, we will just end up in a different universe. Theoretically, we will have to be in one universe or the other. For example, I want to leave my universe, so I will do just that (I'm not sure how... -

Graduate Can something gradually exerting force escape a black hole's gravitational pull?
Because the force of gravity would be much greater than the force of the "space elevator" or anything gradually applying a force. For example, the required force to escape a black hole would be about 50,000 N. But the gradually applying the force would not be enough to escape the black hole.- mdmaaz

High School How to caclulate the acceleration of a dropped object.
I guess Jared James is right. Perhaps I should start with the basics, but what are the basics. I would love to learn this at school but I live in India and schools here usually don't teach these things. But I'm really passionate about physics which is why I'm trying to learn about it on my own. -

High School How to caclulate the acceleration of a dropped object.
I read the link that JaredJames shared with me. It says that s stands for "displacement". What does "displacement" mean? -

What is "g"? How do you calculate the "g" (gravitational constant)? Does the value of "g" change from place to place? And what is "a" -

Graduate Light approaching the event horizon
Any thing that goes into a black hole becomes invisible. Even the black hole itself is invisible. So you wouldn't see any photons or particles once they get pulled into the black hole. Besides particles are only visible after light reflects off them and reaches our eyes. Where would the light...- mdmaaz

I understand that there is nothing opposite of a black hole. But I've heard a lot about "white holes", what are they?- mdmaaz

Graduate How does the jetstream of particles manage to escape from the blackhole?
There is a jetstream of particles (mostly electrons and photons) coming out of the black hole. But nothing escapes from a black hole because its gravity is so strong. So how do these particles come flying out of a black hole?- mdmaaz

Graduate What Came Before the Big Bang? Exploring Pre-Universe Matter and Energy
I have my own theory about this. All the matter in our universe today was previously in a different universe. It traveled through a wormholes and exploded into our universe.
