    Is the system linear or nonlinear

    it is both the properties you have described but I have combined them into one equation. also it was marked as nonlinear in the solution manual

    Is the system linear or nonlinear

    Homework Statement 3y(t)+2=x(t) Homework Equations k1y1(t) + k2y2(t) + 2(k1+k2) = k1x1(t)+k2x2(t) The Attempt at a Solution I know the system is non linear but I cannot explain why. It has something to do with 2(k1+k2) but I am unsure.

    Solving Heat Added to Gas + Mass Density of a Gas

    Homework Statement 0.20 g of hydrogen gas are held in a rigid container. The temperature of the gas is changed from 200 K to 320 K. How much heat is needed 2) A gas at p = 80kPa and T = 350K has a mass density of 8.65×10−2kg/m3 . find the V_rms Homework Equations E_thermal = 3/2nRT...

    How much mass is needed to prevent an object from sliding down a ramp

    divide out m and your left with a negative acceleration meaning that box is moving meaning friction would not keep the box up on the ramp no matter what?

    How much mass is needed to prevent an object from sliding down a ramp

    F box = friction - F,gx --> u(s)mgcos40 - mgsin40 = 0 --> factor out m --> m = 0??

    How much mass is needed to prevent an object from sliding down a ramp

    There is no information regarding static friction between the object and ramp.. If i disregard the object and focus on the box that is on the ramp, wouldn't the net force be 0 with friction and F,g,x cancelling each other out if it does not move?

    How much mass is needed to prevent an object from sliding down a ramp

    Homework Statement An 80 kg object is on top of a 40°ramp and held by a box that is filled with sand bags. Each sand bag has a mass of 12 kg, the static friction coefficient between the box and the ramp is .507. What is the least amount of sand bags needed to prevent the object from sliding...
