How can I create stand-alone executables using QtCreator?
Hi guys and girls! I'm using QtCreator to write some simple applications and have tried my utmost to figure out how to create stand-alone executables (i.e. executables I could distribute to friends etc). Long story short, I just can't figure out how this stuff works (and yes, I've Googled)...- phyzmatix

Graduate The Alternating Direction Implicit Method in 2-D
Recursion! Of course! I sometimes forget that most (if not all) of these methods are designed specifically for use with computers! Thanks arildno!- phyzmatix

Graduate The Alternating Direction Implicit Method in 2-D
Anybody? If I didn't provide enough information, please let me know. If you have access to a worked example, please provide it and I'll figure it out for myself. Even if you have knowledge of a different method that uses a similar iteration scheme, that will also be handy.- phyzmatix

Graduate The Alternating Direction Implicit Method in 2-D
Good day everybody! In my Numerical Methods textbook (Applied Numerical Analysis, 7ed, Gerald and Wheatley) the authors derive two equations for the ADI method to be used in an iteration scheme. For row-wise traversions, they get...- phyzmatix

High School F = m x a, but what if velocity is constant (making a zero)?
You've received three replies, I know, but let's put it all together. Let's refer back to Newton's Laws of Motion In this case, the truck is subject to Newton's first Law You, however, will be subject to the second You will experience an impulse as the impact with the truck... -

What Is Degeneracy in Quantum Mechanics?
First of all, I just want to check if my understanding of degeneracy is correct: The degeneracy of an excited state is the number of combinations of quantum numbers that will result in the same energy level. ? Secondly, if this is right and if we have an equation E_{xy}=\frac{\hbar^2...- phyzmatix
