Mixture of saturated liquid and saturated vapor
Still confused... I am still not so understand. In a situation where the temperature of liquid is 60oc, and the boiling point of that liquid is 120oC. Can I concluded that the temperature is a pure liquid (not vapor exist)? So as long as the temperature of the liquid is below the boiling point...- pikkie

Physical Properties of Metals: Melting Point, Solubility, and Conductivity
metal will react with water in some situation, that is corrosion. Its the ionic reaction between metal, water and air. but the reaction is so slow, may be years. Generally, metal can consider does not react with water.- pikkie

Mixture of saturated liquid and saturated vapor
In the figure that shows saturated vapor and liquid condition under varying temperature and specific volume (constant temperature), there are 2 lines, 1 is saturated liquid line, the other is saturated vapor line. so the region in between these 2 lines is called the mixture of saturated liquid...- pikkie

Neutralisation Cont'd: Heat of Neutralization & Final Temperature
I solved for the heat of neutralization already, I thought, but now, I got the final temperature after reaction is 121.75 oC which I think is too big. I start with initial pH = 2 and final the conc H+ = 10^-(pH=2) then I find the mole by multipling the conc with the tank volume (400m3), the I...- pikkie

Heat of Dilution: Calculation Problem
Confused I would like to know the answer too. But from my previous calculation, I got 32.20 oC (If using del_H(96%) - del_H(infinite)), and 25.08 oC (If using del_H (96%) - del_H(10%)). From this website "[URL ,[/URL] the answer is 33.70 oC. And I even run a test myself, and the temperature...- pikkie

according to the rules in physics forum, we can't help those that didnt show their efforts. We are just guiding, not doing all the homework for you. you must at least show your way of calculations before we can help you.- pikkie

Heat of Dilution: Calculation Problem
1 more question I solve the dilution of NaOH already. Thank you Bystander. 1 more question to ask, is this method suitable for all types of dilution? Like if I want dilute 96% sulphuric acid to 30% sulphuric acid? But I can't get a similar answer to what I got from this website...- pikkie

Heat of Dilution: Calculation Problem
confused The Cp Value I used is 20% not 50%. About the del Hsoln, I didnt use del H 20% - del H 50% but instead, I used del H 20% - del H infinite, like what i learn from the book Elementary Principles of Chemical Process. Does this cause a difference? By the way, why you use this ratio...- pikkie
