Equations of Lines: How to Find, Solve, and Verify Intersection Points
its clicked! right so i'll get my position vector and my parallel vector and because the vector is parallel and not acctuly on the line (however in the same direction) it needs to be that direction but to a diffrent scale (hence t) plus the position vector giving X=(-3,3,-9)t +(4,2,1) right so...- pokerfan91

Equations of Lines: How to Find, Solve, and Verify Intersection Points
so for the first 2 parts would my answers be ok like this or would i have to arrange it differently X=t(4,2,1)+(-3,3,-9) X=t(2,1,1,)+(3,0,3)- pokerfan91

Calculating Angles between Vectors: Step-by-Step Guide
ive got the formula down as angle=cos-1[(u.v)/(||U||||v||) with my u as 3,1,2 and v as -2,3,4 this gives me cos-1[(-6i+3j+8k)/root406) where do i go from here?- pokerfan91

Wether a point is stable unstable or other
for the question n+1=X2n-2Xn+2 one of the roots is 1, now if i take 1.1 and put it in i get a negitive and if i take 0.9 i get a positive does this make is a saddle point? also F'(x)=0 what do the F'(x) values indicate? something about being smaller or larger than 1- pokerfan91

Wether a point is stable unstable or other
got a question Xn+1=X2n-4Xn+6 so from there we play arround with Xs and get roots of Xs =2 or 3 then we sub that into F'(x) giving answers of 2therefore unstable and 0therefore stable i understand all of the question apart from the stable and unstable part could someone please tell me why...- pokerfan91

Discrete systems possible mistake in answers
starting with the iterated map derived in the notes for calculating rootp(p>0) Xn+1=1/2(Xn+(p)/(Xn) calculate root 7 starting with x0=1 so ok starting with that i get x0=1 x1=4 and then something strange happens the sub in looks like this X2=1/2(4+2/4)=9/4 i was under the...- pokerfan91

linearise the euqations near each equilibrium point? Write each of the following differential equations as two first order equations, find all the equlibrium points, and linearise the equations near each equlibrium point (a) X.. +x -1/4X3=0 first part done getting X.=y and Y.=-x+1/4X3...- pokerfan91
