A microscope is made in a tube 25.0 cm long. It magnifies 5.00 x 102 times, 50.0 times by the objective lens and 10.0 times by the eyepiece. What are the focal lengths of the two lenses?
If the magnification for an image is equal to –3.5, what is the nature of the image?
I am having difficulties understanding this question and finding answer. Can anyone can tell me where can I find information about this question or how to solve it?...
Red light travels from air into liquid at an angle of incidence of 390 and an angle of reflection of 170. Calculate the wavelength of the red light in the liquid if its wavelength in air is 750 nm.
can anyone give me a clue? ,,, please..
Red light travels from air into liquid at an angle of incidence of 390 and an angle of reflection of 170. Calculate the wavelength of the red light in the liquid if its wavelength in air is 750 nm
can you give me some hint for this one too? :cry:
Light travels from medium C to medium D. The angle of incidence is larger than the angle of refraction. Which medium has the lower index of refraction? Explain your logic.
Determine the time it takes for light to travel 54 cm through glycerine in an aquarium.
does anybody know how make an equation for this??... because I just have no clue with this one...
A concave mirror has a radius of curvature of 0.5 m. At what position should and object be placed to produce an upright virtual image that is 3.0 times as large as the object?
I have just no clue for this question,, but I have to understand it T.T
can any1 help me please>..
for second question, i tried and got this
. Mirror equation
1/f = 1/do + 1/di
1/50= 1/1.5 + 1/di
di= -1.546 cm do= 1.5cm
Magnification equation
hi/ho = - di/do
hi/2.5 = -1.546/ 1.5
hi =2.576 cm ho= 2.5cm
is this right?
