Sarah wants to mix 400 liters of a solution that is 57.5 iodine. She has two solutions available. One is 20% iodine and the other is 70% iodine. How many liters of both should Sarah use?
Answer in the form: 20% = ?, 70% = ?
For solving this problem?
Two containers are on the shelf. The first one contains a 30% iodine solution and the other contains an 80% iodine solution. How much of the 30% solution should be used to get 50 liters of a solution that is 40% iodine?
Thanks for any help.
Metric unit conversions -
100 square kilometers to square centimeters
Wouldn't the answer be 10000000?
English units to metric units -
200 cubic yards to cubic centimeters
How would I solve that?
And does anybody know how I would enter my answers in the correct Unit Multiplier...
Not "reduction method". My teahcer doesn't teach, he expects us to know everything.
Yet, i don't understand how i got the first problem wrong. I understand what I'm doing though, to an extent.
A couple more I'm having problems with.
First with linear intercepts.
Find the y-intercept of a line going through (3, 0) and having a slope of -5
y=mx+b
m = -5
And from then on, I don't know how to continue with this problem.
------
Now, completing the square.
Solve...
RETE = RWTW, RE = 200, RW = 250, 9 - TE = TW
Answer in the form: (TE, TW)
RE(200) x TE(5) = 1000
9-5=4(TW)
RW(250) x TW(4) = 1000
I enter the answer 5, 4
But it says I am wrong.
-------------------------------
And for another one
Solve for the unknown variables...
What would be the formula for solving problems like this?
Solve for all variables.
RETE = RWTW, RE = 200, RW = 250, 9 - TE = TW
Answer in the form: (TE, TW)
Seems simple, but not for me.
How on Earth do you do this?
What percent by weight of Na2S2O3 is Sodium (Na)? (Na, 23; S, 32; 0, 16)
Okay that looks confusing but. The "Na2S2O3" isn't suppose to be spelled like that. It's Na (then a 2 that is haflway beneath the number) And then you repeat with S (lower 2), O and lower...
Can somebody double check me on this.
At 5 p.m., Alex rode off from Asteroid. One hour later, Jessica rode off from Asteroid in the opposite direction at a speed 400 kph less than that of Alex. If they were 7900 km apart at 11 p.m., how fast did each travel
Answer in the form: Alex...
I see, but that makes it confusing for me. That's why i don't understand what to do.
I'll take a shot at this.
-6n = (n+1)(n+2)...so-so?? I can see that this problem can be figured out, but I can't find the correct numbers... HELP ME. Omg, i can't find a number that will fit in with all the...
