Getting a solution that contains 40% iodine
For solving this problem? Two containers are on the shelf. The first one contains a 30% iodine solution and the other contains an 80% iodine solution. How much of the 30% solution should be used to get 50 liters of a solution that is 40% iodine? Thanks for any help.- Richay

Convert English & Metric Units: 200 cubic yards to cubic cm
Metric unit conversions - 100 square kilometers to square centimeters Wouldn't the answer be 10000000? English units to metric units - 200 cubic yards to cubic centimeters How would I solve that? And does anybody know how I would enter my answers in the correct Unit Multiplier...- Richay

How Do You Find the Y-Intercept and Solve Quadratics by Completing the Square?
A couple more I'm having problems with. First with linear intercepts. Find the y-intercept of a line going through (3, 0) and having a slope of -5 y=mx+b m = -5 And from then on, I don't know how to continue with this problem. ------ Now, completing the square. Solve...- Richay

Solving Subscripted Variable Equations: Formula and Example Problems
RETE = RWTW, RE = 200, RW = 250, 9 - TE = TW Answer in the form: (TE, TW) RE(200) x TE(5) = 1000 9-5=4(TW) RW(250) x TW(4) = 1000 I enter the answer 5, 4 But it says I am wrong. ------------------------------- And for another one Solve for the unknown variables...- Richay

How Do You Calculate the Percent by Weight of Sodium in Na2S2O3?
How on Earth do you do this? What percent by weight of Na2S2O3 is Sodium (Na)? (Na, 23; S, 32; 0, 16) Okay that looks confusing but. The "Na2S2O3" isn't suppose to be spelled like that. It's Na (then a 2 that is haflway beneath the number) And then you repeat with S (lower 2), O and lower...- Richay
