Regualr hexagon and position vector - how does this work
Homework Statement a regular hexagon OPQRST has its vertices at O ( the origin) and points P,Q,R, S,T with position vector p,q,r,s,t respectively. The point U with position vector u is the midpoint of the line segment OP, and SU meets OR at the point V please see attached diagem I need...- rohan03

Proving A is a proper subset of B
Centre of the circle is (2,-1)in this case so if you take the point x=2 & y=-1 plug it in the y-2x<2 ten it is true. Any good?- rohan03

Proving A is a proper subset of B
C is not a proper subset of a as part of C lies outside A however B is a proper subset as all of b lies within A- rohan03

Proving A is a proper subset of B
Ehild, you lost me completely. This topic is fairly new to me so I will be happy to have bit more explanation. If you could expand or give an example that be great.- rohan03

Proving A is a proper subset of B
So it's the area below. I thought something wasn't adding up. But as far as writing is concern. Do you have any formal way of writing this! Because I don't see how else would you write it out.- rohan03

Proving A is a proper subset of B
[b]1. The problem statement, A = {(x, y) belongsto R^2 : (x−2)^2 + (y + 1)^2 < 9}, B = {(x, y)belongs to R^2 : y − 2x < 2}. Show that A is a proper subset of B. The Attempt at a Solution Now I know that (x−2)^2 + (y + 1)^2 is an equation of a circle with centre translated to (2to the...- rohan03

Order of subgroup G - representing triangular prism
Hi May I ask what do you do? Seems like you are a teacher- so it should be pretty straightforward for you to sketch one for your student. I will have a look but chances are slim as I delete every document that I am done with.- rohan03

High School Why are we dividing by x in the solution for this limit problem?
that is the step I am struggling with. so by putting things in common denominator I get x/1-x now if I divide by x = why are we dividing 1/(1-x) and not x/(1-x)? or we are considering x/x + x/(1-x) = 1+ x/(1-x) and I will appreciate it if you can make further steps of part a clear as well...
