How Fast is the Radius of a Circle Increasing When a Stone is Dropped in Water?
That's because the calculator interprets it as ## \frac{3}{2}\pi##, ## \frac{3\pi}{2}##, or ##\frac{3}{2}(\frac{\pi}{1}) ## as opposed to ## \frac{3}{2\pi}##. Next time, enter it into the calculator as 3/(2## \pi##)- RooksAndBooks

Who was the true hero behind the Rebel Alliance's victory in Rogue One?
I would give it somewhere between three to four stars. I did think the movie served its purpose well, but I had a few issues with it that slightly ruined it for me. My five big issues:- RooksAndBooks

Carrie Fisher, Actress of Princess Leia, Dies at 60
My best guess is that they'll make her CGI like they did with Tarkin in Rogue One or do what Star Trek did when Leonard Nimoy died; they were open that he died but they worked that in the story.- RooksAndBooks

News Donald Trump: What Do the Scientists Say?
I try to not generalize (anymore). A lot of people I know (whose names I will not disclose) support/will vote for Trump because of their unfavorable views on Clinton, but still view Trump unfavorably. While I believe that it's still a bad reason--a candidate should stand on his/her own merits...- RooksAndBooks

News Donald Trump: What Do the Scientists Say?
Of course I know that http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/, I guess I need to work on my word choice. When I said that he's not "viable," I mean I don't believe his policies would be for the better of the United States. I'll be careful to use better word choice next time.- RooksAndBooks

News Donald Trump: What Do the Scientists Say?
Donald Trump is a candidate running in the 2016 POTUS race. On 9/20/2016, 375 scientists signed an open letter regarding Donald Trump. I think it's interesting to read, since personally I do not see Trump as a viable candidate and the open letter addresses climate change and the United States...- RooksAndBooks

Insights Problems with Self-Studying - Comments
That was a good article that I thought was mostly relevant to me. I do read textbooks on my own and some of the points are relevant to me; points one and five weren't as relevant to me. I understand the feeling of it being easier to read a fiction book than a math book. I don't read 1 thousand...- RooksAndBooks

Is a Nuclear-Powered Supersonic Airliner Feasible?
The BBC has reported on a supposed nuclear-powered airliner that would fly three times the speed of sound. http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20160713-could-this-be-the-first-nuclear-powered-airliner From the article: The first sentence of this article already makes me skeptical. It runs on...- RooksAndBooks
