Creating any shape of a magnetic field?

I was wondering if it was possible to create any shape of magnetic field. If yes, what would it take to do so?

Reading a lot of data very quickly with Arduino?

Hi all, I am currently working on an Arduino project that involves multiple stepper motors. The motors are told how to move by an external txt file. However, sometimes the processing of how the steppers have to move takes longer than the actual movements themselves. Some movements should only...

Cheapest/best power supply for 7 different types of motors

Hello community, I am building a device for which I will be using five Stepper motors (each 5v, 3a) and one brushed DC motor whose speed has to be varied and operates between 12V and 48V (350Watts). Also I have a heater which runs at 12V, 40Watts. My question is: How will I best power these...

Conservation of Energy and the angle of the incline

well since there is a certain kinetic energy in that block i am assuming if it would be converted completely to potential energy the path to get to that place wouldn't matter. The potential energy is only dependent on the hight. So I think the type of incline wouldn't matter in regards to the...

Conservation of Energy and the angle of the incline

If I had a block that I pushed with a force F along a horizontal path and then removed the force before an incline, would the angle of the incline matter on how far above the ground the block would travel? I am assuming a frictionless surface.

How can I solve this problem using implicit differentiation?

Ruber and Sammys thanks a lot for the feedback, it helped a lot! I finally figured it out and got the correct answer thanks to you guys. What a dumb error that was. Thanks again!

How can I solve this problem using implicit differentiation?

Mark 44: Thank you for your feedback. I realized that I wasn't clear enough with stating my problem, but you figured out what I meant. However, \[\delta\]w/\[\delta\]y (w^2+x^2) does not equal zero, because w could be dependent on y

How can I solve this problem using implicit differentiation?

I unfortunately keep on getting the wrong answer to this problem. I am supposed to find: dw/dy(1/(w^2+x^2)+1/(w^2+y^2)) I attached a picture of how I tried to solve it. Help would be much appreciated.
