AP Free Fall Question Solved: Finding Velocity & Time in Vertical Motion
umm I see that as simple mistakes. 1. If they are moving at the same speed up, why would acceleration affect the box? Especially since the balloon is moving at constant speed, which means a = 0. [You confuse me with that question] 2. you answered it with A. Again deduce your questions...- Solaxys

I with a distance problem involving constant acceleration
1 a. Since this is constant acceleration, just use (Vf - Vo)/(7) 1 b. Use equation: x = vt + 1/2at^2 x = (0)(3.5) + 0.5(a)(3.5)^2 1 c. Find velocity at 3.5 seconds use acceleration, Vo = 0, and t = 3.5 and equation: vf = vo + at. And then use that as initial velocity, and repeat 1b.- Solaxys

Why Does a More Viscous Liquid in a Can Allow It to Roll Further Down a Ramp?
Homework Statement You are given two cans to roll down a 1m ramp at angle 15 degrees [and then at 30 degrees for a check]. Can A has a less viscous fluid, broth. Can B has a more viscous fluid, cream of mushroom soup. Now through constant experimentation we find that, can B rolls down...- Solaxys

I think the question means 30 degrees, relative to the ground or the horizontal, rather than the vertical.- Solaxys

Solving the Friction Dilemma Homework Statement
Homework Statement Q: A worker wishes to pile a cone of sand onto a circular area in his yard. The radious of the circle is R, and no sand is to spill into the surrounding area. If [u] is the static coefficient of friction between each layer of sand along the slope and the sand beneath it...- Solaxys
