Why are most sprinters African-American
This is not intended to be taken as racism. I am simply asking why, at an Olympic level, most short distance sprinters are African American black? I have heard that it is attributed to the foot bone being different, and also being blamed on the carbohydrate full yams that make up a huge part of...- tinypositrons

Undergrad Could the universe be a giant spinning teacups ride?
I vaguely understand what you mean, and need to say I don't nessercarily agree with what I have said, I am simply putting it forward to be criticised.- tinypositrons

Undergrad Understanding Planetary Spheres: The Role of Gravitational Compression
They aren't all spheres. Jupiter is significantly wider at the equator than pole to pole. Look at Haumea, a dwarf planet in the Kuiper belt. It has a highly ecliptic shape!- tinypositrons

Undergrad Could the universe be a giant spinning teacups ride?
Moons orbit planets. Planets orbit stars. Stars sometimes orbit other stars. Stars orbit galactic centres. How to we know galaxies aren't orbiting super super super massive black holes or something along those lines. And it continues. How do we know this chain is not infinite? Thanks bros Fin- tinypositrons

High School Is Kepler 22 Visible from Earth with a Telescope?
Kepler 22 has generated some hype because it was the first star to have a planet in the habitable "goldilocks" zone to be found by the Kepler Space Telescope. I also know it is somewhere in the constellation of Cygnus. I have done many a Google search on this, yet returned nothing. My question...- tinypositrons

Could Kepler 22b Support Life and How Would We Get There?
People are saying that Kepler 22b looks like it may harbour life. How could we ever know? I was just wandering, but what would the delta v be to do a Hoffmann transfer (if this works on an interstellar scale) to Kepler 22b?- tinypositrons

High School Avoid Killer Asteroids: Simple Solution Discovered
An asteroid has a lot of mass and probably a lot of velocity. If you know a rocket that can get to said asteroid, and still have the delta velocity available to push an asteroid out of orbit, give NASA a ring!- tinypositrons

High School What would happen to a human body exposed to space without a spacesuit?
If you had air in your lungs, you would instantaneously explode. Otherwise, your blood and all the water in your body would boil (due to low pressure not temperature). Also, the temperature (in Earth's magnetosphere) fluctuates between approximately -150 and 250 degrees centigrade. A word of...- tinypositrons

Undergrad Does gravity apply to ionised objects?
Eg. If I ionised myself (ignoring other problems) would I fall through the floor and eventually stop moving at the center of the gravitational body I was on (assuming I didn't make an orbit).- tinypositrons

Are there "road" traffic rules in Space? Do you have to "stick to the left of your orbit" or "give way to the unmanned vessel"?- tinypositrons
