AI Thread Summary
The bcrowell account was locked due to an error that placed the user in the wrong user group, preventing posting. The issue has been addressed, and the account should now be functional again. However, there are still concerns as the username appears in a light font, indicating it may not be fully resolved. The user received an SA medal as a recognition of their contributions. Overall, the situation is improving, but further checks are needed to ensure complete functionality.

I normally use the bcrowell account, but had to create this one, bcrowell3, to post this question. I don't seem to be able to post under the bcrowell account. Is the bcrowell account locked for some reason? I haven't received any information by email or PM that would indicate that there was a reason for locking my account.

hmmm well, I actually just awarded you the SA medal! Congrats! :D Going back in your account it appears I mistakenly put you in a wrong usergroup. Should be fixed now. Sorry! :)

Anyway, I finally got a paper on the same matter as discussed in those forum threads, the fat lens model, got it peer-reviewed, and IJRAP...

I found physics forums and used it to ask questions I was unable to get answered from my textbooks or class lectures. Unfortunately, work and life got in the way and I never got further the freshman courses. Well, here it is 20 years later. I'm in my mid-50s now, and in a...
