Why are the animated GIFs disabled? I wanted to use an animated avatar or animated signature

For create animated gif you can use VidGIF.You can convert video to gif.And also resize your animated.:-p

to me personally they are annoying and distracting :)
 
I want to thank those members who interacted with me a couple of years ago in two Optics Forum threads. They were @Drakkith, @hutchphd, @Gleb1964, and @KAHR-Alpha.
