SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the relationship between time and the speed of light, specifically questioning whether they move at the same speed. Participants clarify that speed is a measure of distance over time, making the concept of "speed of time" nonsensical. The expansion of the universe is discussed, with a current measurement of approximately 70 km/s per megaparsec, and it is noted that the universe's expansion is accelerating. The conversation emphasizes that light travels at a constant speed, denoted as "c," and that time dilation is a well-established concept in relativity.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Einstein's Theory of Relativity
  • Familiarity with the concept of spacetime
  • Knowledge of time dilation and its implications
  • Basic grasp of the expansion of the universe and its measurement
NEXT STEPS
  • Research "Einstein's Theory of Relativity" and its implications on time and space
  • Explore "Time Dilation" and its mathematical formulations
  • Study the "Expansion of the Universe" and current measurements
  • Investigate "Spacetime Diagrams" and their use in visualizing relativity
USEFUL FOR

Students of physics, cosmologists, and anyone interested in understanding the fundamental principles of time, light, and the universe's expansion.

Light is electromagnetic radiation; and time is not electromagnetic radiation!
This is where I'm trying to get, light is not the only thing that travels at ##c##, there is a reason for that am i wrong?

Every massless "thing" travels at the speed of ##c##. That's pretty well understood.

Good Good, why? is almost like is not traveling in space but in something else, but i know that it is in space, because it can get distorted by gravity

I don't think that just by don't understanding completely makes me wrong, maybe i just can't proof it yet, I'm looking at it in new ways, i will not surrender about it yet

Proof by endless repetition?

gravity not exist as well but doesn't mean that we can't measure

This is not only wrong, but logically impossible.

I'm not trying to prove it yet, I'm just trying to understand it better, I'm only a teenager who wants to study physics in a soon future, and you guys are the experts, but i need to give my best being this dumb to understand at least a bit

You can't do that by personal speculation based on incorrect beliefs, or by throwing out further questions when you haven't even understood the answers to the previous ones. And you certainly can't by refusing to listen to what people who are much more knowledgeable than you are telling you.
