So, for the last few years I've been doing this "Game of the Year" poll with this voting script I made. This poll is different from most polls you've seen-- in normal polls like this you have maybe five or so options, and you pick the one you like best. This poll however gives you a list of maybe a hundred options, and let's you pick your top 20 (or less than 20), in order of preference. I think this gives more interesting results than a normal poll, because sometimes people's "second choice" can be very important. Here's the results from last year, if you want to see what this looks like in practice-- I think there's a lot of interesting information captured there that would be lost in a normal poll. (Plus, there are pretty colors!
)
If you would like to give it a shot, I will be running this poll until the evening of Jan 8., then I will take the poll down and post results.
Thanks!
(P.S.-- I hope it is okay on physicsforums to link an external site like this! I wasn't sure who exactly to be asking permission from. The poll has to go on its own site, though, because the vote-ranking interface is slightly involved. Anyway if I'm doing something wrong please let me know.)
(Again, if you'd like to vote, the link is here.)[/size]
