Testing Boost Your SAT II Physics Score with Free Online Practice Questions

AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around the perceived difficulty of the SAT II Physics test, with participants noting that the questions in the College Board's free guide are quite easy. Many agree that the actual test is more conceptual than computational, as calculators are not permitted. A participant shared their experience of scoring well despite a lack of physics knowledge in high school, suggesting that with some preparation, achieving a high score is feasible. Recommendations for study resources include the College Board's sample questions and the SparkNotes review book, while Barron's materials are considered more challenging than necessary for the actual test. Overall, the consensus is that with adequate preparation, the SAT II Physics test can be manageable.

Hi everybody

I solved today the questions that the college board put in it's free guide pdf. But these questions are very very easy! is this also the level of the real sat II physics test's questions?

Is there any free online source to prepare for this test??

Thanks a lot :)

Don't worry, that exam is really easy. I didn't know anything about physics back in high school, had the worst teacher ever. Nobody in my class made above a 3 on the AP exam but I still got a 720 on the SATII. So if you know at all what you're doing you should be fine.

Is the SAT II test more computational or more conceptual?

It's conceptual, and if you're pretty good at physics you could very well get an 800 with no problem. I used the sparknotes review book and I found it pretty helpful. Barron's seemed more difficult than the actual SAT II and I feel like I wasted time because of their book.

TL;DR Summary: What topics to cover to safely say I know arithmetic ? I am learning arithmetic from Indian NCERT textbook. Currently I have finished addition ,substraction of 2 digit numbers and divisions, multiplication of 1 digit numbers. I am moving pretty slowly. Can someone tell me what topics to cover first to build a framework and then go on in detail. I want to learn fast. It has taken me a year now learning arithmetic. I want to speed up. Thanks for the help in advance. (I also...
Hi community My aim is to get into research about atoms, specifically, I want to do experimental research that explores questions like: 1. Why do Gallium/Mercury have low melting points 2. Why are there so many exceptions and inconsistencies when it comes to explaining molecular structures / reaction mechanisms in inorganic and organic chemistry 3. Experimental research about fundamental Quantum Mechanics, such as the one being followed by Hiroshima university that proved that observing...
guys i am currently studying in computer science engineering [1st yr]. i was intrested in physics when i was in high school. due to some circumstances i chose computer science engineering degree. so i want to incoporate computer science engineering with physics and i came across computational physics. i am intrested studying it but i dont know where to start. can you guys reccomend me some yt channels or some free courses or some other way to learn the computational physics.
