Can Age Be a Barrier to Scientific Learning?

My name is Dennis and I am an amateur at best. I enjoy calculations and solving problems, but I am a bit rusty as I just started college classes and I'm going on 40. I've enjoyed reading through the forums and seeing the challenges presented. I'm blown away by the knowledge being passed around. Look forward to reading more and hopefully contributing in some way. Hello fellow Physics enthusiasts, I am an aeronautical engineering graduate (Bachelor's) who is interested in Physics and Mathematics, and I have been re-learning all the basics.
