Can an Older Member Keep Up with Physics and Math Discussions?

Hi Everyone... I suspect I'm older than most here but I want to learn and see what is happening in the world of physics and math... so... I'm here.

I too look forward to being here. It's been a very long time since I've studied math or physics so I'm coming at this as a rank beginner but I'm reasonably smart... for an old guy... and I am tenacious so hopefully I will be able to learn quickly enough to be able to take part in upcoming discussions.
My first step is to get back on track with the needed math and then dive into the rest. Wish me luck... I'm going to need it!
