AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers around the potential development of a chemical to enhance physical attraction, specifically through the use of pheromones. Pheromones are defined as chemicals secreted by animals that influence the behavior of others, often attracting the opposite sex. While there is a strong consensus on the role of pheromones in animals, their effectiveness in humans remains debated. The conversation highlights that physical attraction is not solely based on appearance; factors like scent also play a significant role. The idea of a pheromone-based product generating high demand is mentioned, but the complexities of human attraction extend beyond mere physical traits.

pheromones do not make us more physically atractive

And who says love is based on physical attraction?

Besides, there are other things that make people more attractive aside from the way they look. The way they SMELL for example...

Here's the definition from dictionary.com:

pher·o·mone ( P ) Pronunciation Key (fr-mn)
n.
A chemical secreted by an animal, especially an insect, that influences the behavior or development of others of the same species, often functioning as an attractant of the opposite sex.

There you have it.

I'm sure someone else here may know more about it than I do. This is not a new idea, as far as I know.

thanks i am glad i get more info

as far as humans are concerned, it is still debated about the efficiencies of pheromones in humans. The role that it plays in animals in unquestionable, yet hardly as observable in humans. some other topics you might want to look into if you are interested in pheromones and such are copulins, etc.
