AI Thread Summary
Optics and nanotechnology are highlighted as lucrative fields in physics due to their broad applications in both academia and industry. The discussion emphasizes that while certain areas may offer better financial prospects, pursuing physics solely for monetary gain may not be the right motivation. The importance of passion for the subject is underscored, suggesting that a fulfilling career in physics should prioritize interest over income. Ultimately, choosing a physics field should balance potential earnings with personal enthusiasm for the discipline.
