I remembered the recent commercial for Jeep which had this song and I really liked it..then again usually they're catchy and such..

but I thought that I would start a thread about commercial songs since some are funny and such.

The jeep commercial song is sung by Steve Poltz
(singing the song right now) :-p

Anyone else who has a song from a commercial they can contribute to the thread?

(I'm not sure if anyone else has posted a similar thread but if there has been one just let me know...appologies in advance)

This song for the Volkswagen Passat is one of my many favorite's from Clannad.

Harry's Game

It is sung in Irish Gaelic

Imtheochaidh soir is siar

A dtainig ariamh

An ghealach is an ghrian

Fol lol the doh fol the day
Fol the day fol the day

Imtheochaidh an ghealach's an ghrian

An Daoine og is a chail 'na dhiadh

Fol lol the doh fol the day
Fol the day fol the day
Fol lol the doh fol the day
Fol the day fol the day

Imtheochaidh a dtainig ariamh

an duine og is a chail ne dhiadh

Fol lol the doh fol the day
Fol the day fol the day

I love the California raisins and 'Heard it Through the Grapevine'! Great tune! Well - I love the Motown sound too!

Marvin Gaye is one my favorite artists, and his duets with Tammi Terrell are outstanding. I have his Trouble Man album on CD. The lead track is my favorite tune by Gaye.

And I have a couple of California raisins (plastic)

maybe one of the most used tunes for commercials

Also sprach Zaratustra

The rest of the symphonia is very hard to listen to.

I prefer Deodato's version -

Back in high school German Class, 2nd year, we had German language tapes with which to listen and practice German. I was in an accelerated group with 3 other students. We listened to tapes with head phones independently of the class, and so someone got the bright idea to listen to rock or jazz music while we were supposed to listen to German tapes. One of the music tapes was Deodato's A. S. Zarathustra. We almost pulled it off. The teacher discovered what we were doing toward the end of the semester, but she was nice about it, although she disapproved of what we did. She just wanted us to learn the German.

It's good to learn a foreign language:

There might be a commercial more appropriate to this thread on that page, but I think it would be entirely inappropriate.
